Mixed Ability Band Book – F Instruments

This book makes it easy for mixed ability beginner groups with treble clef F instruments to play together. It is part of a series which uses the pieces from the Student Brass website to enable groups of mixed brass to play as an ensemble/band.

Each piece is presented as a double-page spread, with the F tune at the bottom of the left hand page, the Bb accompanying parts at the top and the notation for acccompanying Eb instruments on the right. The Bb and Eb versions also provide an excellent opportunity for sight reading in unfamiliar keys.

There are 3 parts for each tune, with varying levels of difficulty, from ‘C’ (the easiest) to ‘A’ (the hardest). Students can choose to play the part they feel most comfortable with, or be asked to attempt a more challenging one.

The book is ring-bound, so that it can easily be folded back on a music stand.
